Not if he stays. They will if he goes. I think football fans are fickle in that way. As long as he is in a dark blue shirt no one will complain even if he is a money grabbing two-faced fucker but if he is in a sky blue shirt in the same situation the fans will tear him to pieces.

Shame really, I mean he's done a lot of work for us, the only issue I have is he makes out he is a one club player that isn't driven by money. According to the speculation, though, that isn't the case.

At this point in time Frank Lampard has the best attitude in the team (despite the situation last summer). I'd like to see him as captain to be honest if all this speculation is true.

Good points but I think Lampard is motivated by money just as much as Terry. He is on £150,000 a week and has a clause on his contract where no player can have a bigger wage than him, if memory serves me correctly.

Simple question, who do you think Terry will be playing for next season, City or Chelsea?

As I say, I think it's more likely he'll stay due to the mad influx of newspaper reports and relentless club statements (which will make them look very silly should Terry leave). Although, I'm not naive enough to say that Terry won't consider City.

In short, I don't know. I'm clueless on the situation. I hope he'll stay even if he is disappointing me big style.

All I will say to people is saying you are happy for home grown players that have been with us for years and can peform at the highest level can be fucked off no problem for players in their late 20s comming for the money be careful what you wish for.

I am assuming its fine for Ireland to be fucked off as well then where are we going to draw the line ?

Happy for all three of them to come if the deals are right AND THEY WANT TO COME.

But not at the expense of core english home grown players like nedum. You can put me on a wall and shoot me in the head before I will agree to that.

We will lose where we are comming from very quickly if the majority start thinking this is acceptable IMO.

What has having a core of English homegrown players won us so far? I'm interested to know

One question fulhamroad22...

Do you now consider John Terry as ''Mr Chelsea'' or ''Mr Money''?

Mr Money. So long he holds Chelsea hostage to get more money. If he stays or if he goes he has proved he is not loyal, he is two faced and has his head turned by money. When we were the richest club he was happy to stay, now City are the richest club he is happy to go. I don't believe he is driven by ambition as I reckon there is just as much ambition at Chelsea as there is at City- so is it worth going back on every statement you made to go? If he went it'd be for nothing but the money and maybe a slight aspect of wanting to try something new- something he should man up to and do if he wants to go.

Same can be said if he is using these threats to get more money out of Chelsea.

It's getting to the point where I don't want him to be captain of the team if he is so driven by his wallet.

I can totally understand why he'd want to chase a bit more money, but I think he should grow a pair of balls and tell the people that have made him who he is, his intentions. There is clearly a lot more to it than stagnance.

If he wants to continue on his current contract, he'll be well respected still. But if he is holding out for more at either City or Chelsea he will lose a lot of respect.

Shame mate. I think Terry really needs to clear this up as its only the Chelsea fans he is hurting in all honesty.

If JT keeps the silence how likely is RA going to feel undermined? would he get to a point where he thinks fcuk you terry?

depends what's being said behind closed doors

Fair do's mate but i can't help but think he's trying the boards patience so he doesn't have to ask for a transfer.

Would you swap Ireland for Messi? Ie improve the team??

My point would be with the position we are in why not have both?

Like I said after Nedum its Ireland next. Its great what’s going on but I am a little shocked when some people seem happy to get rid of quality young home developed players for mercenaries coming for the money - in some cases under duress. We are not talking Ched Evans here this guys will probably end up playing for England for years. He’s still only 22 personally I don’t think Toure is any better than Nedum based on last season....

If you are happy with that fine. I am not.

It's 100% certain he is considering City.

Strongly considering us.

I think it was 70 - 30 chavs start of this week

60- 40 chavs yesterday

50 - 50 tonight

probably 60 - 40 City

I think its slowly swinging in our favour as time goes by.

I know. It sounds stupid, but I wish he realised what he is doing to the fans of the club he supposedly cared about, the club that made him who he is. If he really cared about the club he'd address this- even if it was a statement to say he will announce something soon.

No one forces players to sign contracts.

So you'd sell Robinho, Adebayor, Given, Barry etc all players who have got in the way of acaemy players like Ched Evans, and Hart?

It's about building a succesful team, not about providing employment for the players at the academy. It's up to the academy players to prove that they are good enough. Mistakes will be made along the way, but the No. 1 priority is to make City succesful. Everything is subordinate to that. The Premiership would be half the competition it is if we all had the little Englander attitude that you have.
