Agreed .....more mis jointed than Maine Rd !!It's like they just decided to put a few stands around a pitch on a whim.

Did you enjoy the game? Not sure where exactly to post this, but I hope someone can help by answering these two questions : -
This was nothing to do with the club. Both PL and WSL games were 'picked for TV' and as such were moved by the broadcasters. From memory, the WSL game (BBC) was scheduled prior to Sky moving the PL game. You can be damn sure neither of these organisations will have taken the other game into consideration when scheduling. As some of you have said, it's really disappointing that the club allowed the women's and men's games to overlap. How they expect to promote the women's game like that baffles me, but that said overall I enjoyed my day.
Glad you had a successful trip to Manchester.I’m back home from my trip over to Manchester, so thanks for your replies while I was away.
I did indeed travel over for the women's game v Aston Villa as I've wanted to visit the Joie Stadium for a home game for some time and this was the first time when work and family commitments eased to allow me to. Sadly I've only been able to visit the Etihad once too, but hope to be back in the new year. When I lived in the Manchester area many (blue)moons ago, I used to go to as many Maine Road games as I could, but since moving away attending home matches has been near impossible for a number of reasons.

Before the match I took Xhavenjoe's advice and used the Bounce facility directly opposite Piccadilly station (£6 as opposed to £12.50 on the station), so thanks for that. At the station I got a really tasty steak pasty at the Pasty Shop on the main concourse then caught the tram to the Velopark (v.easy) well in time for the game. The weather was pretty dreadful in the first half (as was City's football - Taylorball seems to be "pass it back wherever possible"), but they both brightened up in the second half. The wind stopped gusting, the sun came out and Lauren Hemp shone too! So a 2-1 victory brightened the mood!
Then after the match I headed straight over to Mary D's - it's a lot nicer inside than it appears from the outside, but as Donmcfc posted, they don't have Sky! I wasn't the only supporter to find this out then. Shame I didn't see Don's post. So I got the tram back into the city centre and found a pub (not the Box) right near Deansgate station and got to see the whole of the second half of the Wolves game in there thankfully....and that match ended well too, if a little more dramatically than the game at the Joie!
As Spurs quarter 69 said "Ladies and men's team both come from behind to win 2 1 what's not to like."
Glad you had a successful trip to Manchester.
Good to hear . My daughter joined me for a rare trip up from London to watch City women at home and we both enjoyed the second half ...we too were ignorant of the Mary D television limits so we split and went out separate ways , as I hoped to catch the tail end at home and she had a train to catch . Home in time to see Johnny Johnny score the winner .I’m back home from my trip over to Manchester, so thanks for your replies while I was away.
