Joleon Lescott Post Match Interview

Maybe Mancini has been told to sell before he buys and the board have been looking to offload Lescott as we have Nasty and Rekik as cover. Mancini is against the idea completely and that is why he has bought JL back into the team the past couple of games to show the board that he needs JL. Either that or he wasn't impressed with Nasty at Norwich!

I don't know how people read so much into little things.

Selling Joleon would be a huge mistake. The reason we didn't finish clear at the too of the league last season was because our centre half strength in depth wasn't of a high enough standard. We addressed that in the Summer with signing Nastasić, selling Joleon would create that problem again.

I would be completely flabagasted if we sold Joleon, in fact, I'm certain we won't.

Maybe but can't see us doing the dirty on a good servant. The owners are honorable people and if it's in a contract it's in a contract.

Why '**' out letters when I know exactly what's missing?

When Kompany or Joleon were fit, there was not a better pairing in the Prem; when one of them was out the cover was of insufficient quality and mistakes were made. We shouldn't get ourselves into that position again.

Never mentioned anything about an interview but it's obvious there have been things going on behind the scenes with JL as he has been constantly linked with other sides - Paul Lambert publicly stated that he wanted him which is a bit strange for a manger to do. No smoke without fire and all that.
