If De Jong plays he needs to start getting stuck in maybe it's match fitness but he's not had that extra inch when going for a ball.

If Richards is Captain best of luck to him, he deserves it.

Savic's presence to fill VK CB role has made me comfortable... thats how much I personally think he's impressed. He will GUARANTEED show some quality defending over the coming weeks while VK is out.

I have no doubt Savic will start alongside Lescott and I for one cannot wait. The young lad is quality and a perfect foil for Lescott, as he is extremely good on the ball.

I'm surprised at all the stick JL gets for his passing, he's not that bad, he tends to just give it simple, which is fine by me. No he's not slick in possession but he at least understands his limitations. Just cos we payed twice his market value, doesn't mean he should be pinging it around the park like Franco Baresi ffs !!

I've been far more irritated by Vinnies passing, which has been very wasteful compared to last season imo.

Savic has looked very confident in possession and passed the ball with a quality beyond his years, on the few times I've seen him so far, so I look forward to seeing how he fits in during VK's holiday ....
