I'm surprised at all the stick JL gets for his passing, he's not that bad, he tends to just give it simple, which is fine by me. No he's not slick in possession but he at least understands his limitations. Just cos we payed twice his market value, doesn't mean he should be pinging it around the park like Franco Baresi ffs !!

I've been far more irritated by Vinnies passing, which has been very wasteful compared to last season imo.

Savic has looked very confident in possession and passed the ball with a quality beyond his years, on the few times I've seen him so far, so I look forward to seeing how he fits in during VK's holiday ....

Has anyone even mentioned how much he costs? The fact is that our football will suffer from not having Vinnie because he has attributes that Joleon, the older man, will never have. Anyone who can't understand that is burying their head in the sand.

He suffered a dip in form but has been in sensational form recently.

Neither man can marshall a defence, that's a big problem. Micah can't do it either. He's barely aware of his own positioning at times. QPR showed how much of a problem it is when Vinnie's missing.

If your reading Joleon than enjoy it tonight pal, yes its time to stamp your authority on the team but dont think for one minute that half the people on here know what their talking about. Yes its all about opinions but most have spent half their life in a dark room tip tapping away and cant wait for someone to fook up so they can say told you so, a third of the others probably havent been at the club as long as you.

Big test tonight for Savic. Last week Kompany won everything against carroll and kept him out of the game. I do fear if Corroll puts himself against Savic he may get some joy.

I think it is important tonight we stop the supply from Johnson, Enrique, Downing and Gerrard.

But Lescott doesn't need to prove anything, he and Kompany are the best pairing we have. Ok his passing isnt his strongest but thats not what hes there for. He's solid strong and a very good defender. He just needs to lead tonight and support Savic
