Seems like people are still giving him stick for whatever reason.

Why move? He's been included in all the cup games - a chance to be part of what could yet be a history defining season.

Where else can he get that? If it doesn't work out he can go anywhere he likes in the Summer - it's win win really.

Glad he's staying - he certainly seams to be a big personality in the dressing room better here for me.

More than happy for Joleon to stay, he's a solid enough defender who generally plays within his limitations (something Demichelis could copy IMO).

For me Kompany and Lescott are still our best centre back pairing fortunately I'm not the manager though.

He is still an excellent Defender, he just doesn't suit our style of play anymore. At the end of the season he will probably leave and not a single City fan will begrudge him that one last fat signing on fee and more than likely over the odds wages.

As for England; now that Jolean is that bit older; Jagielka and Cahill are far superior ( and they are probably England's worst centre back pairing in years) but he is still a far better bet than Smalling and Jones, and I am one of the few Bluemoon posters who isn't afraid to say that Phil Jones may one day become an excellent player.

After the continuing selections of Cleverly and Walker - it's the most damning evidence that proves that Roy Hodgson is a knob.

It probably hinged on the deal we were interested in doing with Porto but Lescott deserves to be part of any success we may have this season.

When you get to his age and you have the money he has its not about security and lifestyle anymore , its about success and silverware.

He was never going to go to West Ham , I hope those who took my advise to be against it made a nice sum from the betting shops etc.

I would place Joleon ahead of Nasty at the moment in the pecking order. That is partly because Nasty does not seem to be playing quite as well as last season. In addition I think Lescott has played better than Nasty in the games that they have played.

Obviously Demichelis is number one, and this is largely to do with his ability to play the ball at speed out of defence. Joleon and Nasty don't quite have the same skill.

Nevertheless at the moment I would prefer Lescott to Nasty when the occasion demands. Put it this way, I would feel more confident with him in a big match ahead of Nasty.
