Okay, Bonucci perhaps as he wanted to stay within Italy for personal reasons. But don't forget that he was sold to a rival club. Keita, on the other hand, was sold to an English club. Rudiger went for £30m plus £3m in add-ons. Bakayoko went for £40m. It looks aweful business however you look at this.

Not it doesn't. That's a fucking garbage argument. But i'm clearly not gonna change your mind. And frankly I can't be arsed arguing with you.

I'm not arsed about the money and I know he's a munchkin, but if he's got the balls to come get behind him.my initial thoughts were pretty much the same as everybody but you can see why pep wants him. He's got the experience, not bad on the deck and seems reliable.i think it could be a good signing, I'll make my judgement when I see him live in a blue shirt.

If the fee is thirty million or even 25 million its a lot of money spent on a player who will not improve us and will have no sell on value.

The other thing is why, if accurately reported, do we have to substantially increase his wages? The guy should be desperate to come and have one last shot at the big time rather than us have to tempt him with significantly improved wages which results in us being stuck with him whether we wish to move him on before his contract expires. Its like groundhog day and were storing similar problems for ourselves at a future point in time.

You claim it to be a "garbage argument" without justification. I'm comparing fees that English clubs have paid this transfer window, so you can hardly complain that the comparison isn't valid. Everton signed Michael Keane for £30m and you think Evans for the same price is good business...
