win win all round then!
Yes and no , I'm not an enthusiast for him but we are looking bloody short of centre backs and defenders who use their left foot for kicking a ball rather than standing on, even if he isn't naturally left footed.

No Man City bid for Evans

There has been no bid for Johnny Evans from Manchester City since they submitted one of £18m three weeks ago - and unless they move through the gears in the next few hours West Brom will hold onto their captain.

It would cost over £30m to land Evans and Tony Pulis is now short of time to land a replacement that would compensate for losing a defender he rates very highly.

Evans is not agitating for a move and there will be no Saudi Berahino style tantrums if he has to stay at the Hawthorns. Settled with his family in Cheshire,a move to Manchester City would appeal to Evans but he is an equable character and remaining at West Brom wouldn't faze him.

So Manchester City have work to do if they want to sign him.

The same applies to Swansea if Nacer Chadli is to be lured away from the Hawthorns. West Brom are looking for at least £25m for the Belgian, signed a year ago for a sun rising to around £18m.

I'm in San Marino for Northern Ireland game, going to nick all the pens, he won't be signing any contract while I'm here if I can help it

Just a thought but anyone else think City pulled the plug on Evans because Pulis went public on our bid. That's not how we do business.

To all those who are celebrating, lets see how happy you are if god forbid vinny gets injured. You might not like him but its clear he is the one we want and if we dont get him its a problem

Well Pep will surely bring in another CB, looks like Mangala is off, Tosin as well. It's suicide to go into the season with only Kompany, Stones and Otamendi.

Hopefully Mangala goes to Palace and we use his fee with the money set aside for Evans to make a large bid for VVD.

With Mangala seemingly refusing to go to Palace (or any other club that is offering a transfer fee), it wouldn't surprise me if there were insufficient funds for Evans.

City have two alternatives to Evans which could be done today. They also though are happy enough to go into the season with 3 CB's and 3 FB's. Only 'priority' today is landing Sanchez.
