That must be why Manchester City and Arsenal want to sign him so much.
The same Manchester City who signed Mangala, who you're so keen on. As for Arsenal, Wenger couldn't find a decent centre half if his job depended on it.

Keown on the BBC saying that Evans has just been subbed off to a standing ovation and it looks like he has left the field with a look like this was his final game for the Baggies.

Looks like this is a go'er then.

Fingers crossed it's us he's signing for, he'll be a fine addition to the squad. Hopefully the small time Charlies that resent the lad for his United connection will give him a chance and not get on his back from the word go.

At the end of the day we have to trust Pep,

If he believes he will do a job for us then we need to get behind his decision.

Don't think Pep would ever have wanted Mangala. In fact, he wants Evans to replace him.

Evans is more than good enough to step in and play the role Mangala is playing now. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to understand that.

He's not a first choice pick. He's going to be a squad player and likely won't make Wolves or Bristol City players look like world beaters.

I get it, he played for United so it upsets you that we're in for him. You'll get over it though in time.

This won't affect Delph one bit.

What makes you so sure?

We have four home grown players in the CL squad already, and as good as Delph has been he's not a proper left back and we're certainly not going to get rid of Stones/Walker/Raz.

Where would be the sense in paying a silly amount for a 30 year old ex rag if not for the fact he's home grown?

Either way we could do better at either backup LB or backup CB by using it as foreign spot.

I don't give a fuck who he played for, I was over the moon when we signed Tevez and Hargreaves as they were both great players. What I care about is that he's absolutely shit, so shit that we used to fucking celebrate when he started derby games. As for Guardiola,

Bravo
Nolito
Hojberg
Afellay
Song

Off the top of my head, he's more than capable of signing a complete dud.

Embarrassing.

There wouldn't be a single comment like this had he not played for United.

He's MILES better than Mangala.

People need to stop being so small time.

Exactly.

At Palace or somewhere where there is much more emphasis on being direct & physicality I'd (probably) take Mangala.

In a Pep system Evans is way ahead.
