Bravo was quality when we got him, then he declined/lost confidence.
Afellay was a young player with obvious potential.

Fingers crossed it's us he's signing for, he'll be a fine addition to the squad. Hopefully the small time Charlies that resent the lad for his United connection will give him a chance and not get on his back from the word go.

Thought he signed Song. The point is he's not infallible. Evans was shit 10 years ago and he's still shit now, there's basically no upside whatsoever to signing him. I've seen him playing in a low block for WBA and still being terrible, yes. If we wanted a player from a relegation battling side that's weak in the tackle, weak in the air, not particularly quick but moderately good on the ball, we should just recall Denayer.

As for my point about 10 years ago, he's never been any good. Not then, not now and not at any stage in between. He won't be any good next week, next month or next year either. Fuck all to do with him being an ex rag, I'd be just as pissed off if we were being linked with Kaboul, Squillaci, Djourou, Kravan or any other crap centre half that's stolen a living as a reserve at a top club over the past decade.
