Man U fans seem to think it was a mistake for them to let him go. Sure we will know soon enough how good he is when he plays for us. Maybe a few will be surprised if he turns out to be decent. Just calling him shit based on he's a United fan / ex player.
 
Just to reiterate because it seems the pro Evans camp can't get it out of their fucking heads. I don't think he's good enough, regardless of how many 'boxes he ticks'
He's an average CB, not the worse in the world by any stretch but certainly not worth upwards of £25m. Do I trust Pep? Yes, of course, though his past record of signing CBs is hardly enough to warrant it. Does him playing for utd mean I wouldn't have him regardless of talent? No, does it fuck.
 
What are other suggestion for the fourth CB, which is imperative now as we play 3 at the back and Pep's policy to have 2 players for the same position? VvD plainly refused us and he is out of Pep's mind. The Italian geezer ditto. Bertrand would be too expensive in post-Neymar transfer market. According to Pep's coaching team, they want somebody experienced as a player, experienced in PL, comfortable playing from the back and not another £50 mil fee. Like it or not, Evans suddenly comes out as a reasonable choice.

I get where you are coming from but realistically I don't rate Evans and that's not being biased because he played for the scum.
Nutting a player happens... Been sent off a few times when I played, but spitting is indefensible...if he had spat at me he wouldn't have walked off the pitch.
Overlooking the fact that he's an ex scum player I still don't think he's worth a punt on ...why waste £20 million on a stop gap when for extra £40 million we could have a player for 4 years plus.

Because for the time being Kompany and Stones are our main centre-backs. I don't believe you rotate centre-backs. No one does that
