WBA may think they are being smart by getting an OTT fee for an average player but when they try buying a player from another club, the selling club know WBA have c£30m burning a hole in their pocket.
 
He wouldn't be my ideal choice but we do need a left sided centre back and pep clearly doesn't rate mangala. Are there any other realistic options if we don't sign him?

Given a choice between not signing a cb and signing Evans I would take Evans

Tevez was a top player, He was also young . They aren't even in the same stratosphere talent wise.

I'd sign a few united players if they

Suited our style

Were of required quality

The fee represented fair and proper value in relation to the talent and age of the player

Weren't a horrible **** like Neville or Rooney e.g. The ****iness outweighing the talent

Now all I'm saying is regardless of who Evans played for, the fee is disproportionate because of his age and quality. If it was say.. 10m I'd have no issue but it's a panic buy and the price is fucking ridiculous for someone who will rot on the bench and be a nightmare to shift in 18 months time

They want exactly the price they are gonna have to pay for sakho ? They need us to balance their books. Why the fuck should we pay three times a players worth ? We'd be absolute mugs

That's far too sensible.

It is far more important that you hate Man Utd than you want City to improve. Haven't you read this thread? We are still LIkkle Shitty who only care about a fluke derby win every decade.

Do you reckon we'd be getting the same comments if we were talking about signing Martial or Rashford? Or do you think it's perhaps that people think he's about the right level for West Brom, which I'm pretty certain isn't where we're trying to get. The ex-rag is just another stick to beat him with, but it doesn't change the fact that our high line would be a disaster for a player without pace.

No, if you don't love the idea of Jonny Evans then it's because you don't like who he previously played for.

Perceived ability and how he'd fit in our team is completely irrelevant and a stupid stance to take.
