He’s better than Managala - who’s only actually played well once for us - his first game against Chelsea - since then it’s been Bamby on ice... an accident waiting to happen. I’m no big fan but if Evans signs he’ll get my support.

Mangala is extremely error prone and inconsistent. His passing isn't improving enough either in my opinion. A likeable man and a beast on his day but not suited to playing against counter-attacking teams.

Tosin isn't ready if you ask me. Concentration slips too often, passing not great yet. Not given up that he'll come good but I think he needs a loan.

Kompany when fit is one of the best defenders in the world. Unfortunately he's not reliable and Pep, as an outsider with no sentimental attachment to Kompany or what he's done for the club, might feel he can't trust Kompany's body.

I don't like that we're signing Evans but I understand why we feel it's necessary. And the reported fee isn't so bad either.

Psg? Spurs? He’s played okay in the bigger games for me. Evans has been rotting at West Brom for a reason.

He's not better than Mangala, but every error Mangala makes is magnified 10 fold by our own fans. I've even seen him called Mongala on here by cretins. He couldn't even lace a fit Kompany's boots - unfortunately Vinny is never fit.

Nicely summed up,especially about kompany..
 
Not a signing to get your heart racing but a guy who can do a job for us as 4th choice. Better than Mangala hands down and a lot more comfortable on the ball.

In Pep we trust.
