I wonder if the club waited for Fabinho's deal to go through to help with negotiations over the fee. Who knows.

While it's not pocket change, fees seem to be down a tad already this summer for apparent quality players.

Of course that's before United spunk £50m on Arnautovic.

I agree mate....I think that Fabinho deal might have allowed us to find common ground for talks....maybe Liverpool moving so quickly will in fact help this deal over the line!;)
