Jorginho

We’re, quite rightly, warning Napoli the fee we’ve offered is more than generous, and if they don’t stop p*ssing us about we’ll look elsewhere.

I’m absolutely sick to death of this so called “elite cabal of European clubs” putting every obstacle they can in our way, while virtually demanding money with menaces from us every time we ask about a player, Whereas Bayern were prepared to let a player leave for Juve today for around £30 million
Yeah but Bayern get most of their players by tapping up Germans 1 or 2 years ahead of the end of their contract who then move for nowt. The ones they want to leave they sell as soon as they can generally around 20% below market value.

You don’t go on holiday if your going for a medical any time soon
You do if its already arranged with him, so, if we agree a deal with Napoli, I'm sure we can arrange staff to go to Brazil, and a couple of hours out of his holiday to sort a medical, and then he can "sign" for us in Brazil, whilst still on holiday.

Why is Txiki f*cking about offering below market value? If we had started with a more realistic offer in the first place instead of trying to take the p*ss this might be closer to completion, now were probably just causing Napoli to dig their heels in even more. The markets is out of control, so the sooner Txiki accpets that the better.

£60m would not be that unrealistic in the current market. Either that or we go back to buying squad fillers like Fernando and run the risk of being a few injuries away from a bad run of results and the rags will overtake us.
Market value? A player is only worth what someone is willing to pay for them. We will obviously offer a fee at the lower end, just as the seller will ask for a fee at the top end. This is standard commerce, & when common sense prevails, we'll hopefully meet somewhere in the middle.

What you also need to consider is our budget in respect to FFP. There's a 3 year monitoring period, & we've spent very heavily in the last 2, so we can't go spunking huge amounts this summer window too.

There is also Napoli involved in this, & their owner is a notoriously difficult man to do business with. I fail to see how this is Txiki's fault. We can't make Napoli sell the player to us for what we're happy to pay, hence our transfer team are trying to factor in Zinchenko as a separate deal which will ease the overall financial burden on us.

Txiki has done well for City, BUT we can't go spending money we can't afford because of FFP. Our fans understanding in this respect would probably be appreciated by the club.

Hopefully replacing Fernandinho with Jorginho will not be similar to replacing Matic with Bakayoko.
Hopefully we're not replacing Fernandinho. He's still got a lot left in the tank and has some key skills that we'll need plenty of over the next season.

If we bring Jorginho in I imagine it will be as an alternate option; as both a rotation option and as a means of tactical variety, maybe he'll even partner him sometimes. Although I do believe if he settles in and adapts to things quickly enough he'd be the preferred option.

It would be like replacing Roy Keane with a somewhat better version of Carrick.

Except I think we are replacing Yaya, not Fernandinho, which means it's similar to replacing a stationary pole in the middle that also has a potty mouth, with a better version of Carrick.

No one knows what is going on! and I am confused with the including of Zenchenko in this deal
So, both clubs agreed on the €50 + adds on and maybe to include Zenchenko!!! does this mean
€50 mil + bonuses on to make it in overall up to €60 mil or
€50 mil + Zenchenko + bonuses, or
€50 Mil (- Zenchenko value) + bonuses

It has been close to an agreement for the last two weeks!!! I wonder what negotiation tactics used by both club are?

A better version of carrick? Carrick was criminally underrated if he is as good as him then we are set for a good 5 years. Not having it that he is better than Carrick though.
