Jorginho

Article just citing the MEN, who have merged the quotes from The Sun re Napoli owner.

Jorginho agent was in England last weekend to see us, so don't see any requirement for him to fly in again - just sounds like some outlets wringing the last dregs from a deal that will clearly happen.

If the agent is flying to England then it would be with the player, who doesn't need to do his medical just yet and can enjoy rest of his holiday.

cheers mate!;)

I think we will be keen to get them both done by Thursday, just to try and squeeze a bit of media attention before the World Cup wankathon kicks in to full steam.

I think Delph can play there for Pep: he was excellent when we played away at Chelsea in Pep's first season. He's looked good in midfield for England in last week or so and of course much of his time as LB ends up being spent in midfield. It seems though that he has bagged a place in City's squad as, primarily, a left back. Also, I don't think he has the passing range that Jorginho has: he's probably a bit more bread cake and butter in that department. I like Delph a lot and always thought too many people underrated him but Jorginho would bring something different to the squad.

The reason Fabian is underrated is because he is English and only cost £8 million, IMHO.

In your opinion mate do you think it will just be the two signings this summer (Jorginho/Mahrez) or will there be a surprise for us?

Could see a couple more, as we have been very keen to save the pennies in these negotiations.

Especially so, if Zinchenko is leaving.

It's clear from the Dutch reports we have money down on De Ligt, so has to be for a player considered worthwhile in long term.

Maybe if someone becomes available, who would enhance our squad, then we would go in for him, just like we apparently did with the General.

I knew it! Always wondered why we're fighting for every little penny since the Laporte deal, this "two players thing" for this window was always bs.

At the risk of veering off topic, this and his injury record are the reasons he's underrated. I very much hope hope he stays for at least another season as he has a lot to offer in terms of quality of squad depth. In some respects maybe the injuries which have inhibited his minutes on the pitch down the years might prolong his career. A great option off the bench and starter in domestic cups as long as he is happy with that role.
