Jorginho

Definitely. I'm just not sure who else is available for that role. Fabinho was definitely one, Fred maybe too...but he was more of an athletic dynamo option like Fern rather than a Busquets player...regardless both are now gone. Kovacic isn't a DM, more of a Gundogan CM type. Seri cannot be gambled on and I wouldn't rate him as a City starter anyway. Weigl looks a guy similar to Busquets but I've been a little unimpressed sometimes when I see him play. Rabiot looks a player. The options aren't bursting out the seams tbh.
Thats the point though there is no reason why we would see an alternative. Did anyone se see Busquets moving there, or Lahm. He knows what skills the player needs for that position not least intelligence, the fact we don't know doesnt mean there aren't players out there he hasnt spotted.
Besides I'll still be surprised if we haven't bought Jorginho by the time we go to the U.S.

Maybe it's just me but I don't consider our stance to be admired because it yet again means we could miss out on a primary target due to us not paying up.

As much as we may not like it, Pep isn't the be all and end all for every player, money is a bigger factor. If we don't pay the money the selling club is asking for, but another club will then we shouldn't complain when we repeatedly miss out on targets.
Because it doesnt matter. We can only judge how it went at the end of next season, we dont repeadedly miss out, all teams mis out on some targets it's how you adapt to missing out that matters.

I have no clue who or what that is...presumably a forum member who trolls? If you think I might be a troll then I grant mods permission to check my IP vs the system or any other forum member for that matter.

Agree completely. They don't need to dream about playing for us or Pep to perform here. Our best players this last decade (Yaya, Sergio, Silva) probably wouldn't have signed for us if a bigger club at the time offered more money than we did.

Says he's old skool City yet comes out with this egotistical and elitist drivel. Computer does not compute.

You're delusional if you think City are miles ahead of the rest. Liverpool have strengthened where they need to, as have United and will add another big name or two soon. Chelsea will be back where they belong once they get Sarri in and if they land Jorginho, Golovin and another attacker they'll have a super strong XI as well. City will still be #1 but the aim is to reinforce that plus push on in Europe. Buying Mahrez is a step in the right direction but buying a new DM is paramount to that. Jorginho would be that perfect fit as he's the closest clone to Busquets in the world and the ideal player for the City system.
Who’s the quality goalkeeper and Centre half Liverpool have signed that they are glaringly missing? Yes they have strengthened their mf, but that wasn’t their weakness, their gk and cb were.

A word of warning to anyone on here who likes to post comments with an element of irony or sarcasm. You’re “didn’t want him anyway” and “fuck him, he’s shit” posts are being taken literally on ragcafe.
To be honest though, I don’t think English is their first language for some.

Not that I've even jokingly said anything like that about Jorginho, but I couldn't give two fucks what those ****s think.

I can't believe they think members here are actually serious and not clearly taking the piss out of the cafe and their antics every window.
