Are you kidding me,sanchez wanted 400k a week which we rightly wouldn't pay,Isco wanted RM and Hazards agent was wanting a fortune for his own bank balance,we rightly didn't give it to him
Some idiots think that money grows on trees and our Owner should just cave in to other clubs demands.I don`t think they understand the meaning off becoming "self sufficient".

Exactly,we are a business that spends within a budget not to mention that you shouldn't be taken for a mug,we have done ok without all 3 of those players

This.
We always seem to penny pinch and end up paying more in the long run anyway.
Imagine what a team we would have been if we would hav offered more for Hazard, Sanchez and Isco.
These were all very tempted and another few million on each of them would have prolly done the job.

Our stance definitely isn't one to he admired and isn't paying dividends.
But what happens when everyone sees us paying whatever the seller demands?
We already have to pay top dollar. Paying over the odds will have us right in the shit.
I’ll trust our scouts and money men know far more than the likes of me.
( this rule applies to everyone except Glenn Hoddle. I understand footy better than that prick)

All reports recently suggest they are sticking with Karius, which if they do puts them at a huge disadvantage to all their competitiors. As for Lovren, i agree he did look better along side VVD who was an excellent signing. However, he a massive weak link and they don't have much cover for him. VVD gets injured and they have little to no cover.
They're sticking with Karius? Lovren may be the weak link, but the rest of their back 4 around him are definitely solid, getting better, and might be able to give him more confidence and make his decision making process easier. If they want to get better and stop dropping points, they probably need to get another CB to slot in and make Lovren the backup.

There is a middle ground to be fair. No, we shouldn't be taken for fools by other clubs, but there's also something to the fact we've not repeated as champions prior. Pep increases the odds of a repeat, but I honestly feel we're a little too ready to rest on the squad's laurels so to speak leading to complacency in the team.

I think as a Club we have a very strong hand and should be able to quickly put an attractive package financial and football wise to lure our targets. If we have determined that e,g Jorghino is a key part of the jig saw then get it done. If Club,Agent or Player offer protracted resistance then either make an offer they can't refuse or swiftly move on. I don't know if Fred is better than Jorghino but if we end up with neither then surely that's a missed opportunity to build.

Not paying dividends really? Did you sleep through last season.

Hazard's agent wanted a £6m fee which is very fair considering his talent. According to some reports we'd happily pay over £100m for him this summer so we'd only potentially be paying £64m more than he could have cost.

At the end of the day if we don't pay the money for these targets then forget competing for the CL.

Liverpool would be my biggest worry seeing as they'll be keeping the front three, strengthen massively in midfield and Van Dijk seems to have worked wonders for the defence. Saying that if they don't get a keeper it doesn't really matter how good the front 10 are but they wouldn't be far off from the City team prior to buying Ederson.

United will obviously improve but as long as Mourinho is there they'll still play cancerous football and have their best players playing diabolically but they seem to grind out results. No way in hell they were the 2nd best team last year.

If Chelsea get any new fresh face over them and hold onto Hazard they should be back to normal. They've a far better XI than United.
You said I was ‘egotistical’ for basically saying what you’ve just said!....
Even without improving our squad we are on an upward trajectory, and we will have established Peps system even more so. So, I’ll say it again. Let the ‘Underlings’ improve, but they’ll need time to bed in but, obviously in my egotistical opinion, we ‘should’ have bolted by then. And that’s without improvements!
