More like he played us along looking at what is transpiring ..any ideas of who we might go for next ..

Hazard will be off probably and the change from Conte to Sarri is too big to happen in one season. We had everything in place for Pep and we still took a season to adjust.

Can see Chelsea missing top 4 again. Roman hasn’t been patient with managers ever, why start now?

What will Chelsea do with 3 DMs if Jorginho joins?

I said this earlier, but Jorginho's been waiting around for a month and a half for us to finish off the details of this move, eventually as a player you're going to get itchy feet and wonder why the club seem so indifferent to signing you quickly and will haggle for 2 months over 2.5m. He will have seen how Sanchez waited all summer and then didn't get his move last year as well.

Then someone offers you the same money, the same high prestige league, a team that's won 15 trophies in 15 years and you get to stay with the manager who made your career take off. And the Mrs. is happy because it's in London too.

By all accounts the player was not the reason this deal got held up for weeks. He didn't drag it out, we couldn't reach a deal with De Laurentis.

Alfredo Pedulla, the same bloke who reported on Jorginho being linked with Chelsea a couple of days ago, has now said he’s Chelsea bound.

I hope the club have a decent replacement lined up, because they have massively messed this one up.
 
For Chelsea its a great transfer too. That Fabregas is old and slow. Jorginho is gonna replace him and probably is a better fit for him as Kante will do lot of dirty work behind him. Here at City he would be the deepest midfielder like Ferna. This way he can show his creative side much more especially if Sarri is joining him at Chelsea.

Stop being a bellend, it's clear that everyone in this thread is discussing the news coming out of Italy that he's off to Chelsea with Sarri. In fact I was simply replying to someone who wondered why anyone would choose them over us, and provided some reasons.

If you don't want to talk about any transfers until they are done and dusted, announced on the official sites etc. get off the transfer forum, it's not the place for you as all the threads are locked when a deal is done anyway.

Yeah your probably right,suppose if we were in his position we would be doing the same,getting as much as possible,it’s all a bit galling though..

This looks to be dead. Hope we work on bringing someone defensively sound and with a bit of pace that can actually cover for Fernandinho. Unless Gundogan is leaving, that should be the priority.

He will play the deepest in a three. Same as he did at Napoli.

It’d be a bit churlish to knock our transfer strategy considering some of the fantastic players we’ve signed over the last few years but if he does go to Chelsea then I think this would be one occasion where you could genuinely say we’ve messed up.
As much as we all would like to believe that signing for us should be every players dream move the reality is a bit different and sometimes you’ve got to push that little bit harder to make it happen.
If this does fall through over a couple of million then it’s a big disappointment.
