It won't confirm anything,if we have had reassurances from him and his agent it's not true then we can say that, try another way to blame the club

Worse thing any club can do, would be to brief on the say so of an agent! Come on Karen, I'm not looking to find ways to blame the club but seriously that would be ridiculous.

Tolmie put it alot better than I can....."It may emerge as City being lied to, but at this stage, nothing warrants us believing something is gospel and still briefing"

I heard it from someone on the City side tonight mate. Hope it’s not true, but it’s not looking great for us.
Fair enough, but the Gazetta are the only lot I'd trust in Italy and they haven't changed their stance, the fucker that reported it yesterday had him doing a medical in London until someone sent him a picture with a timestamp of Jorginho in Milan, at which stage he changed his story to flying from Napoli to Milan via London and going back to London for a medical today. We'll see.

You said it would prove we were wrong to put out a statement when you don't know what info we had and tolmie is not part of the negotiations or anything else for that matter

Good. It's time to move on, promote from within if that's an option or pursue other targets. Time to stop dwelling on this player as if we're missing out on a Galactico. Were not.

No quote from City - superstition.
BTW we are taking that route just in case - though I think we want him to replace Fern long term NOT Yaya.

Why would there be a quote from City in a report? Do you understand the very basics of journalism?

You missing the point, it doesnt matter what info we have.....your argument that we would listen to the words of an agent and put out a brief based on that info would be ridiculous.... yes, a Brief that says Chelsea's interest is "ruse" and player has not had any contact with them is clearly a mistake if shortly after he stands holding up a Chelsea shirt. We'll soon find out if thats the case...

It's not a mistake if we had info to the contary,if he turns up at the chavs then the person that gave us the info was wrong, blame them

It's our responsibility for what we do with that info....or you saying an agent or potentially someone else outside the club is responsible for our club briefs?

Thats like saying its not my fault, he told me to do it...

You don't seem to grasping the argument?

City would only brief what they did if they had spoken to someone who is directly involved in the up-to-date landscape - that would either be the agent or the player - nobody else.

From all my 30 plus years working in and around the media, City shouldn't be taking their word for it, regardless of whether they believe they are bring told the truth or not.

Hence, City had no need to expose themselves to the possibility of them being lied to.

If Chelsea is his destination, all we have done is make ourselves look stupid and totally out of the loop.

And let's be having it right, agents and players lie all the time, so all we had to do was brief nothing and try and get the deal done.

Putting out a briefing is not a mistake,if the info turns out to be false then you look a bit stupid thats all, jeez you are deterined to rubbish the club, you turn up every summer so why pretend you don't know how complex transfers are, sometimes it's not someones fault,it's a business deal that may or may not come off

We might look stupid if the info we had turns out to be bolloxs, doesn't mean it was a mistake to do it

If he turns up at Chelsea then we briefed a lie, when there was no need to do so, never mind trusting the word of any agent or player, which is amateurish in the extreme.

City must either be 100 per cent certain he is our player or accept they have dropped a bollock.

I think people who still beleive he'll come here are grasping at straws to be honest. All the most recent indications are that he'll be at Chelsea next season. Until it's confirmed there's nothing wrong with holding out some hope but it reminds me a bit of the people holding out that Alexis might still come to us right up until the day he turned up at the rags, despite all the indications being that he was going to the rags for 2 weeks prior to it being official.

Maybe we believe he is going to be our player, everyone including me is guessing what is going on,save pointing fingers till we know the facts
