Maybe this is his "come and get me plea" cos Madrid are either sacking him or he's just not enjoying it and realsised he cant change the club.

I'm convinced it's not quite a come and get me, as that can easily be done without the press. More of a pr campaign to cover himself for a summer exit, whether forced or chosen.

I'm still not convinced he genuinely wants to come to us TBH. He seems to like the teams where he can walk in and win the Champs League on the first shot, and generally wants to leave if he can't achieve that. Don't think he would want us as anything more than a bait to draw out contracts from other teams.
