Joshua Kimmich

Didn’t they sack him for shagging around? Very public affair in Germany and Munich but official statement was the fact they were 1 point behind Dortmund and there was a ‘culture clash’

Shame if Kimmich is off the table but also means he won’t go elsewhere. I feared recently we had touted the idea but lost interest, sounds like pep wants Bruno and Txiki wants Neves. At least he won’t go to Liverpool/Arsenal/Rags

Not writing him off just yet, I honestly think there is a good chance Nagelsmann stays with Germany. It’s too early with Kimmich to say whether he will leave because he apparently has been fed up with Bayern for at least a few years now. Both on and off the pitch. I firmly believe he would be interested in city as he knows he probably has one last big contract in him. Does he want to be part of a Bayern rebuild with Nagelsmann again?

Nagelsmann was widely disliked by Brazzo and Kahn (old Bayern board) for a variety of reasons. The way he dressed, skateboarding round the training centre and holidaying at inappropriate times were some of the reasons.Shagging about rumours there too. The board didn’t think he behaved like a Bayern manager. This coupled with a poor run of results and very random team selections post Qatar World Cup resulted in him being sacked. He was liked by the players except from Lewandowksi who got his move. I worked in Munich last year so followed the situation fairly closely.

Very unlike Bayern to appoint a manager they previously sacked. They are typically ruthless albeit this is a new board but definitely indicates a lack of idea and direction if they reappoint Nagelsmann. I guess it would probably be better for us if he stayed with DFB. I still think Bayern are on the decline though so will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Had a very good game vs Arsenal at the right back position

He practically was the main outlet for the build up phase from the back.

If there’s any chance of getting him, we should be all in. Don’t think he’ll move though, unfortunately.

We’ll find out soon - see if Nagelsmann heads back to the German rags

So we are expecting if he takes over Kimmich wants to stay? At least he knows Pep and the City project stands out, regardless of Nagelsmann he may still want out.

I would find that an odd appointment but they are a bit of a mess at the moment.

Think they’ll go more makeshift for 1/2 years. Like we did with Pellegrini.

I actually think Kimmich is unhappy at Bayern. Interesting viewing on Pletternberg’s twitter account post game last night, Kimmich pretty much says he received little support over the past year but that hard work always pays off. He didn’t look like a man that had just put Bayern in the semis and was taking not so subtle shots at the club and fans. We have the Pep pull too.

Kimmich has spoken glowingly of Nagelsmann previously though so that might throw a spanner in the works if reappointed. We surely have to be in for him if he wants out.
