Kimmich gifted a victory goal to England when he played in German side. He could not do basic defending and was toyed by Grealish and Shaw.
Kimmich was useless when facing Man City except taking the pen (a good one!). He could not hold the ball and could not put the midfield and backline together.
He was once a good player in one or two season then he stopped grow. Physically too weak. No reliable ball carrying skill. Not a reliable defender either.
Yes, he can play multiple positions. But far from world class. But he is the German version of Cancelo as a right back. He is the German version of post heart problem Christian Eriksen as a midfielder.
His lack of ball carrying ability is the reason why Germany did not get out of group stage in the World Cup. There are only two world class German midfielders right now, Toni Kroos and
İlkay Gündoğan.

Sad to see Kyle go but Kimmich in the 3-2 formation next to Rodri, in front of 3 of Stones/Akanji/Ake/Dias/Laporte/Gvardiol?would be quality.
It is obvious that we will lose speed at the back but that can be still fixed with either of them.

Totally Agree. Even better for the build up in possession as well, having players as comfortable as Rodri, Kimmich, Stones, Dias & Gvardiol/Ake/Laporte. Not getting the ball off that lot.
Players of his caliber rarely become available. Like Tolmie said, I am sure we would grab the opportunity with both hands if there was a chance...

I think that if Kimmich is available, City would be one of the clubs at the front of the queue. Simply down to the style of player he is, as well as his relationship with Pep/Pep’s admiration for him. However, Bayern are not an easy club to deal with and would want top dollar and history shows that clubs that are difficult to deal with, City simply don’t deal with. Maybe Walker negotiations would make it easier?

Probably nothing. The odds are determined by how much money is placed. A relatively small amount on a football transfer could move the odds fairly significantly.

BBC gossip column, had a link saying Bayern were willing to sell Kimmich a few days ago. I clicked on the link but the article was in German so I didn't understand a word. Think it was Kicker, no idea if they are reliable or not.
