The next Kimmich could very well be our own Rico Lewis. A lot of similarities in their game.

In terms of versatility & energy yes. Unsure if Rico will ever be that great passer of a ball but here's hoping.

A bit of gamesmanship between City & Bayern was what I meant to say in terms of disrupting their football/business model which no-one seems to challenge domestically.

Although I don't think the Bavarians have forgiven us for taking Pep away from them regardless of how toxic & political their board seem to operate.

Also there's no chance Kimmich is going to uproot his family from Deutschland to join City unless he's starting & we match his large wages he's earning at Bayern. Doesn't feel like a City acquisition & more of a Casemiro United type move.

I think Rico can get there, hes been part of City since he was a kid, if he couldn't pass the ball he wouldn't have made it this far.

Much as I love Lewis’s enthusiasm, for the best team in the world, and one that aspires to remain as, he ain’t the answer.
If Kimmich isn’t coming, and your comments are persuasive, we deffo need someone top drawer for this position.

Still think Bruno G at Newcastle would be perfect. World Class at 6/8. Great passer, and good ball winner. He has a release clause as well so definitely gettable. Perfect Gundo replacement

He’s one of the best tempo controllers in the world. Also has a great physical presence, maybe too much at times. He contests and wins a lot of duels. 100m release clause, I think it’s worth a look. Especially if we’re considering Paqueta for 85 who can’t play 6 or control tempo
