Joshua Wilson-Esbrand

He's been Injured since Jan, this was his first game back. Missed alot of games with injury over the last few years, no really had the chance to loan out or move.
Loads of people seem to forget this. He looked quite rusty last night, which is understandable for an academy player returning from another long term injury. With a good run of games and a bit more confidence he could easily be a good option in the domestic cups. Was very very good against Wycombe last season. The fact that the club is still keeping him around after those injuries and extended his contract, tells us that they must rate him pretty highly

Much better tonight.

And Rico Lewis... outstanding talent.

Could we give him a chance and save ourselves 50m?
He looks like a raw talent that Pep could shape in to the next Alves, which obviously requires minutes with the first team, so a part of me now hopes we do this.

Eventually we have to give the immense talent in our Academy more chances and it seems like this year may be the start of that (beyond Foden, that is).

Only thing that will stop this lad from a consistent look in is injuries. They haven’t been kind to him over the past few years. I’m hoping it’s all behind him as I really like this lad.
