Gvaridol is coming in because Laporte is going and we get a lot of injuries in defence.
 
The rumour is that they want £86 million (I know, I know, it's only a rumour). He'd have to be pretty bloody special! I imagine we'll play hardball and get him for (a fair bit) less than that. If I've understood it rightly, they're under greater pressure than us.
Actually, that, to me, doesn't look like a bad career move for Laporte. Him + money might do it. No idea if he wants to live in Germany, of course.
