Doesn’t Pep think e to move players in such away that makes positions more attacking midfielders to CB Cancelo becoming more attacking. Signing a CB to play left back surely makes is it more defensive or is he that good ?
 
Had his veins twisted inside out last night.

I don’t think there is much to this one to be honest.

There are more pressing matters at hand than a 14th centre half.

Sell Laporte and Dias, play some kid instead? Christ that’d seriously weaken the side.

We currently have the best four options at centre back of any team in the world I reckon. All four are top internationals, why change anything?!

there is rumours Laporte wants to go back to Spain mate and maybe Ake wants to be a guaranteed number 1 somewhere so if we got say £120m for the pair then we would have options of Dias, Gvardiol, Stones and Akanji as our CB options. As much as we all love Stones, he does pick up alot of injuries unfortunately so really imo can`t be a guaranteed starter? Dias imo is still our number one CB but is suffering from the constant rotation of the CB`s? Gvardiol can also play left back as well so possibly two players out for around £120m and Gvardiol in for say £80m-90m leaves us in nice credit, more settled defence and still amazing options and a big saving on the wage bill to help with Jude`s wages!

If there is any credibility in this report that we are looking to buy Gvardiol then we are selling one of our centre backs this summer..

Cant see THB taking 5th CB with a year left on his deal this summer. He walks into any Championship side and a few prem ones
 
Would be typical City. Badly need a LB and a CM (incoming exits) so we spend big on a CB when we already have 5 lol.... I like Gvardiol but I'm happy with the CBs we already have.

I think we can sell one of them without needing a replacement as long as we get another full-back in. Walker is 32 and could fill in as 5th choice if needed.

The reason we need 5 CB's right now is because of unprecedented injury problems and lack of full-backs (which means that we often need a CB to fill in at FB). I don't think the plan is to have 5 CB''s long-term.

If one or two were to leave then Gvardiol would be right at the top of my list as a replacement.

Stones' fitness is the only reason we can keep hold of 4 top class CBs, let alone 5.

I think Laporte will go and we'll get a LB. Don't see us spending the money on Gvardiol in a summer where we're also supposed to be shelling out 9 figures for Bellingham.

Yeah I get where you're coming from but theoretically, Laporte and Ake's fees would cover Gvardiol's, no?

Again, I'd be more than happy to stick with what we've got but maybe we've had enquiries again, the money looks right and a couple of them are open to leaving.
