To be fair he often thinks the players we already have aren't that good, so Gvaudiol will fit like a glove. How many times have you seen him play?

When you say that he's not that good, do you mean on the handful of occasions when you've seen him play he failed to live up to your expectations?Shiny new toy syndrome in here.. Lads not even that good.
30-40m for Laporte too. With the emergence of Rico Lewis we can lose Cancelo and Laporte and replace with Gvardiol so the high fee for Gvardiol becomes redundant.Top player. Only 21. Imagine what pep will do with him. He can play left back also. Hes strong as an OX. Can play ball. Im all for it. Lets say we get 40 mill for cancelo. Thats only 40 mill outlay. Lets get it done
He's looked at his tackle and heading percentages. What more could you possibly need?
And then a solid back up for Rodri in Kovacic were looking Solid. Imagine keeping Gundo and Bernardo. Adding kova and gvardiol. WowIf we get this deal done, our backline is absolutely stacked. Good luck scoring against Ruben, Stones, Ake, Akanji, and Gvardiol with Rodri in front of them.
too quick.. well done. :)Good enough for me mate.

An honest question (if we can believe the rumours that he'll be playing for us next season): what do you believe (at a guess) the difference is in man-hours City have put into scouting him compared to you watching him play?
He looks like King Leonidas, lets hope he defends like a Spartan.I like this kid alot, Pass like Laporte, Carry like Stones, Defend like Dias. Monster in there for a good few years.
We will never know how Maguire, Cucurella and Jorginho would have played for City but the latter was decent for Chelsea and probably would have been better under Pep.Top 5 league scout don't do shit other than compile data packages and watch them play a few times.
If not then our scouts also recommended Maguire before Dias. Jorginho before Rodri, that Phillips was a good fit and Cucurella for LB? Benjamin Mendy before that...
So what should we do if no scout in the top 5 leagues can be trusted, our own scouts never get it right and we need a player? Sounds like were fucked.Top 5 league scout don't do shit other than compile data packages and watch them play a few times.

And how have you reached the conclusion that he's "fucking quality"?
Probably some bollocks like fifa potential
And you can add Pogba, Sanchez, Fred, Ronaldo, Messi & Kane (to a degree) to that list too... \0/We will never know how Maguire, Cucurella and Jorginho would have played for City but the latter was decent for Chelsea and probably would have been better under Pep.
Mendy, pre-injury, was playing well and provided quite a few assists.
I think our scouting team gets it right more often than not which is reflected in the success since Pep arrived.
Of course. It's borderline impossible these days to watch someone who plays for a Champions League club or a country which finished third at the World Cup. I don't know how anyone manages it.
It's cool if you've got doubts but I'm almost entirely sure that if he joins then you'll realise how wrong you are by September.
