when a pundit isnt impressed with a city player we have signed an absolute belter of a player, pundits said toure was crap, pundits said aguero was too small, pundits said that maguire was better than dias, pundits said we overpaid for grealish, i could go on
Not to mention Phil Thompson on KDB :)

This is all speculation on my part about Gvardiol being in Korea.

Seems a bit of a random flight from Zadar to Seoul, especially with Gvardiol apparently close to signing.

I reckon he'll stay in Seoul for a few days until it's official, do the promos and interviews behind the scenes then either wait in Korea for a week until we get there or fly out to Japan to join up with us.

Got a good feeling about this. This is all my own doing, no help from outside influences at airports, just trying to join the dots and putting it together.

Cue some social media wanker showing me a photo of Gvardiol in Leipzig still :)

Pundits said Guardiola's style wouldn't work in England.

re: the espn video, i remember a few other times when an idiot pundit said a player we bought wasnt worth it and it didnt work out to bad for us

Yep but that is Merson, who also famously said that KDB wasn’t worth the fee. Tbf it must be an effort for him to make any comments on anything given his challenges with pharmaceuticals

These guys don't seem impressed with him.

Not one of those so called experts mentioned the fact he would be comfortable transitioning into midfield.
That’s the main reason pep wants him imo.
Stones and joko taking turns moving into midfield.
Wouldn’t surprise me if both moved into midfield at the same time against the lesser teams

Yeah, I'll be more concerned when a pundit says we've signed a good player

Merson was the immediate example that came to mind, there is multitudes of others which people have put on here and while im loath to call rory jennings a pundit , the fact that he has a platform on talkshite does unfortunately lump him in with the rest of that lot, he did say that haaland would do well to score 15 goals this season so the more pundits say who we sign is crap, the happier i am

also hes left footed. very comfortable on the ball with very good passing ability. atleast don knows whats up, kinda.

I've not seen that ESPNFC clip but they are usually very complimentary to us.
As a rule they are okay, but steve nichol is a complete tool, i think theres something written into law that each sports television station across the world must have at least one washed up scouser talking crap on their broadcast team

You have to understand that most of these dinosaur pundits come from a time when tactics were lump it to the big lad up front and hope for a knock on and a midfielder was a defender who could run further, they dont understand a player like gvardiol and like most people who are clinging onto their last bit of relevancy they critcise and deride what they cant understand

Are we sure this Pep fellow and his spend spend spend negotiating team know what they are doing?

Surely the ESPN pundits know their UK football. The pundits have been picked or should I say poached as experts on football management because of their success in the UK.
