We want him, he’ll improve us, but at some point you need to stop flogging the dead horse and move on.
City need to step back now and publicly look at other options, if RB are interested in dealing with us then it’ll get done, if not we identify other targets.
I’m not saying walk away completely, more take a breather and come back to this if they get realistic on the price. City are not go8mg to pay €100m for him in one hit with ffp being a thing. We could afford it sure, but it’d impact other potential signings so won’t do it.

leipzig already pocketed a lot of money and chelsea bid 80 or 90 mio a year ago for gvardiol. they dont have to budge on their valuation. eberl is also known for being very straight forward.

If this actually falls apart (which I don’t thknk it will), I think we should be looking at their target for replacing him, Lukeba. Not as good obviously, but an incredible talent, around 1 year younger and Lyon is only asking for €35m due to financial problems. Will be worth easily double of that in a year
