Compared to you I probably look like expert. You seem to spend all your time arguing about semantics as if they're the be all and end all.

It seems you don't understand the difference between a second striker and an attacking midfielder.

It seems you didn't see Hazard play for Lille as a secondary striker pretty much all year for Lille the season before he came to Chelsea. They often play in the same areas and have similar attributes, of course they can be easily compared.

Forget the semantic argument about roles. The significant difference is one of style. Hazard is keen on hanging to the ball and dribbling. Jovetic prefers to pass and move into space.

Well...considering AM was Tevez's position all his life until moving to England and played as one for us with the arrival of Aguero, I'm gonna go with that.

However, back on topic, Jovetic and Hazard play the same positions and roles.

no he has not played for us as an attacking midfielder. he always played as a main/second striker for us.

I would love to have Hazzard in our squad. To have the numbers he brought in his first PL season as a LW. Scarry pace and very technical. Yes he had periods were he wasn't as effective. As previously pointed out particularly against us, but I would blame that on the coaching more than anything. I don't think Roberto is a particularly tacticaly proficiant manager and Rafa suffocated the 3 amigos. To have him on the left, Navas on the right, Fernandinho and Yaya in the middle and Richards at RB we would really put the fear of God into teams with that kind of pace.

I hate the way players are judged on how they play versus us. Mata hardly shines yet he's the leagues most consistent CM. Tough crowd on here. Hazard had a great debut season, just like Aguero did.

Hazard is very similar to Silva and Nasri, he just has more pace, he's younger as well. He's not needed in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong, Hazard is a very very talented footballer, but i think people on here are going way way overboard about him. I would of loved him at City, but he is still not the finished article. I would say Isco is a better player than Hazard and thats because he has better vision, intelligence and awareness than him, as well as being able to glide past players. Jovetic is not far off at all and this season, i really think he will be a major asset for us. I think he will adapt pretty quickly and show the Premier league what he is all about.

As for Eden Hazard's debut season, someone said he had the same impact as Aguero's first season... i think its absolute nonsense. Aguero contributed far more in his first season than Hazard did, don't get me wrong, Hazard was good, but i found him to be a little inconsistent too. He started off excellently, then faded, then came back strongly. Mata was easily Chelsea's most productive and most consistent player. Also someone else said they would swap Hazard for anyone in our side other than Aguero... well put it this way, i would not swap Hazard with Silva in a million years, even if they are different players. Same with Yaya, would not swap Hazard with Yaya in a month of sundays.

Another comment that was mentioned, "Hazard takes games by the scruff of the neck", i disagree to a certain extent. He has all the skills, the movement, the awareness, the flair... but i think what he could improve on is his vision and his intelligence. I am not saying he does not have intelligence, i am saying that he cannot dictate a game like Mata or Silva, maybe thats not his job, but this is why i disagree with that comment. This is why i like Isco better, because he can do what Hazard can do, but can dictate the tempo of a game.
Hazard can be a match winner though from time to time.

Like i said though, great player and a good debut season, but by no means was he outstanding. I do think he will be class this season though, a player with big potential.
