Jovetic vs Hazard.......

This is why i like Isco better, because he can do what Hazard can do, but can dictate the tempo of a game.
Hazard can be a match winner though from time to time.
.
Isco doesnt even come close to Hazard in pace dribbling strength acceleration. On top of that he has less assists and goals. Hazard is more of a winger than a pure playmaker yet his vision and awareness is excellent. IMO he will the best player in England next season.

Hazard does have more pace and acceleration and he might look the more flashy player due to his tricks, but Isco i feel has much more maturity than Hazard in his game. His decision making is better, his passing, awareness, intelligence, vision for me are all better. Hazard might be better running at players, but Isco is more like Iniesta in the way he glides past players. This is why i prefer him, Hazard relies on pace to get past players whereas Isco ghosts past players with his fantastic agility and balance. I just love watching Isco play, if Hazard was THAT much better than him, how come Real Madrid didn't come knocking?

I think Isco in years to come will become the better player than Hazard.

Stats mean nothing to me, if you go off stats then Mesut Ozil is a better player than Iniesta and Xavi, which is definitely not the case.

I would love to have Hazzard in our squad. To have the numbers he brought in his first PL season as a LW. Scarry pace and very technical. Yes he had periods were he wasn't as effective. As previously pointed out particularly against us, but I would blame that on the coaching more than anything. I don't think Roberto is a particularly tacticaly proficiant manager and Rafa suffocated the 3 amigos. To have him on the left, Navas on the right, Fernandinho and Yaya in the middle and Richards at RB we would really put the fear of God into teams with that kind of pace.

Hazard is very similar to Silva and Nasri, he just has more pace, he's younger as well. He's not needed in my opinion.

I disagree. Silva and Nasri can't take anyone on the dribble. They can't draw penalties the way he can. Can't provide crosses and can't get tot he by line. Very different players.

Perhaps you haven't watched Silva/Nasri. They are quite capable of beating players 1vs1. They don't do it too often because it is not their style to just take the ball, run, and score, they prefer to uphold the ball, pass it around and control the flow of the teams offensive play.

Silva/Nasri both put on weight last year, they've lost some of their pace, I do hope they can get back to their best.

I'd only compare Hazard to Silva/Nasri by starting position.

In terms of playing the game, they conduct themselves very differently.

Edin takes people on ruthlessly & will continue to improve over time in our league.

Silva & Nasri have both had there best seasons and we can only hope they can emulate these again.

Not saying I wouldn't want them in our side but Hazard has still not hit his best yet.

furtermore to the original post, Jovetic hasnt even played a competitive game for us and although we all want to back our own, he could also (but hopefully not) be found on the 3 worst transfer post in some years time.

they do conduct themselves differently become they have different roles/duties assigned to them by their manager.

one thing i need to point out is that hazard's dribbling is over rated, in the first half of last season his dribbling success rate was below Sergio Aguero.

So Hazard was better than Aguero in the 2nd half of the season?

Evidence?

I don't have the stats for the 2nd half of the season. but in the first half of the season, Hazard's dribbling success rate was lower than Aguero's.

It was also lower than David Silva's, but he only attempted to dribble 2.2 times per 90 minute game compared to Hazards 4.1 dribbles per 90 minute game.

Lol, Hazard is much better. Desperate measures should have been taken to sign him last summer. He'll be a monster in this coming season.
