Bellingham has 2 years remained on his contract, he can just tell Dortmund he isn't going anywhere but Madrid
Sell me now, or I will run my contract and leave for free or much cheaper price next summer.

Didn't Utd/Sancho try that?
Seem to remember Dortmund kept him and got their asking price the following summer
or gets £££ from big clubs to appease a certain fan base

Right, that can happen.
Bellingham can wait, he is still 19 and can join Madrid for free when he is 21.
They renewed Modric's contract, already have many expensive options on the bench.

Of course he can. I was merely pointing out that Dortmund don't tend to bend over, and are prepared to risk losing money if they don't get their asking price
I think he could do another year and then leave for €100 million, but not if he wants to leave this year.
Dortmund are a selling club and I don’t think they would want to be seen to sell cheap.
I have less of an issue with him going Madrid then some, I think it is entirely reasonable for him to choose them, they are a level above in terms of size of club (this could be important).
There are many reasons he could also choose City over them, there is no obvious choice.
For the money I think we could spend it better.
Can see your point and how that could effect negotiations, but things can drastically change in 1-2 years for all parties.
I don’t get the feeling Bellingham was meeting with other teams while his sole interest was always going to Madrid. He very well could favor Madrid, and wind up going there. However, in a years time Real runs the risk of Pool finding the money and United being backed by Qatar to offer Bellingham an offer he can’t refuse.
I have little doubt that Bellingham and his team know approximately what Dortmund want in exchange for him and know this while going into personal agreements with teams.

Absolute chancer. Even a clock is right twice a day.
Who knows where he will end up, but we are a good destination for any hungry and ambitious young player. If he has these attributes he will come to City. If not, he will go to The Shits aka as United, Rubbishy Real or Klopps Teeth FC....
One thing that we've learnt over the last 6/7 years in particular is that we have the best in the business of football in place at our beloved club. The Sheikh, the Chairman, Pep, the backroom staff, and most importantly a squad of players that constantly evolves to be THE team that every other club, fan, chairman, and player aspires to be.
We only accept the best of those that want to be a part of this extraordinary club. There may be a few that we believe we can elevate to meet our standards. that's football, and we give them a fair try to do so. We rarely make mistakes.
Whatever may be, and whoever we sign to wear the shirt next season, one thing remains. They will make a difference or be a better player for working with Pep and move on to pastures new.
Don't forget, Jude is what 19 years old ? He may end up here this Summer, he may not. One thing is certain. City will be the dominant force and all others will be striving to be like us, managers will copy Pep, owners will copy our model but few will get the better of us.
I'd love Jude to join us, whether that be now or when he's 23/24. I'm patient. If he doesn't join, we can't force him, but I believe that he'll end up here one day if he truly wants to make the most of his undoubted potential.

I miss when transfers weren't done all over social media. The Mbappe one personally broke me so now I just get happy with whomever ha. Also if the fees weren't so ridiculously stupid expensive it wouldn't be so nerve racking either. Thanks Florentino etc -_-
