They like to do these big presentations in Spain. But reality is La Liga is pretty shit at the moment…

I am disappointed we didn't sign him as he seems a real quality player however I am not gutted, mainly because while I admit I am being slightly ignorant he comes across as incredibly arrogant, maybe rightly so but I don't like it, a little too raggish for me.

He's joined the biggest, easily the most successful at the highest level and most glamorous club in world football, he hasn't joined Port Vale ffs
Yep. People on here sometimes seem shocked that some players want to go there over us, but Real are the biggest club in the world and many players will want to go there even if they aren’t the best team

same,he never seemed as city player to me

He made his decision straightaway. City were never in with a chance after that. City no doubt walked away straightaway.

‘I spoke with the people when I got permission from Borussia Dortmund, I spoke with Juni [Calafat, Madrid’s chief scout], I spoke with Jose Angel [Sanchez, Madrid’s CEO], and I love the feeling I got from the club, I couldn’t hide it.

‘I told them more or less straight away what I felt about the club, after I made my decision I wanted it to all happen quickly.

‘It wasn’t the case of the other teams are bad, or they weren’t good, it’s just that, for me, Madrid is the greatest.’

Some of his quotes are interesting.

"The things I will gain from Modric and Kroos will be unbelievable. Their knowledge of the game, the way they play it".

"For me it is a brilliant opportunity to come and learn from one of the greatest coaches that has ever coached. So very much looking forward to that and very grateful that he wants me in his squad."

Replace Modric and Kroos with KDB and Gundo and Ancelotti with Pep and he could have been signing for us.

I wouldn't expect him to say any less in a press conference tbf. Did he talk about having Madrid bed sheets as a kid as well?

If we walked away then we would have known about it.

So, he didn't say Yes to us? Real were his first choice from the start, i.e., he opted for them many months ago. If he had doubts when we beat Real 4:0, maybe we could have signed him.

I think it's a mistake on his part. Not as big a mistake as Sancho snubbing Pep to achieve quick success but it's a mistake nonetheless. He could have learnt a lot from Pep.

Why would he lie? There’s no reason to lie. He said it wasn’t about the money. He’s not bothered about the money. He’s bothered about playing football. He wanted to play for Real Madrid. End of. TBH a lot of people on here sound pretty bitter. Just accept he wanted to go and to play for Real Madrid. Which footballer wouldn‘t? Haaland might one day. When Bellingham is 25 at the end of his 6 year Real Madrid contract, he will have to chance to play in the PL, if he wants a move to a PL club.

obviously fake news. He's best mates with Trent, goes for tea with Henderson, Idol was Gerrard, posters of Klopp and Liverpool have been saving up for 3 years to buy him.....

That’s what LFC and the cult fan base are built on. Fake news and lies.

I really do wish him well.

But I can't see it going well for him

They could be building a very good team there, Bellingham slotting into midfield and Vinicious and Rodrygo either side of which ever new striker they look to bring it. They will be a handful if they get Mbappe in the next couple of years.

He will never ever get there what he would have got here and probably Liverpool
He would have been adored by English fans
He is just another player who will either be good or bad
If he’s bad they will boo him beyond belief
These young lads just buy all the hype or Real Madrid
They have won 4 league titles in the last 15 years and 5champions leagues
Not even the best team in Spain
