We have to decide quickly whether we want him at that price or not. The last thing we want to do is set our own price and wait for Dortmund to budge (which probably won't happen) while Bernie and Gundo leave.

We should have secondary reliable back up targets, and avoid a Kane like situation where we end up with nothing in the end.
We ended up with a Prem title, so why do we need to avoid it?

Although I rate him highly I personally see him doing better for Liverpool. He will be better in a team where he's considered the main man, or one of them. For Liverpool he would be exactly that going forward, along with Nunez. For ourselves he will just be another excellent player.
Well he isn't going there so don't think about it too much.

Now where have I read that before?

And it’s bollocks of course….look at poor arry of spurs, great player in an absolutely gash team that is never going to win much if anything…

Look at city by contrast, team of excellent players in each position, challenging themselves and each other to be the best in the league, best in europe…..look how well Jack has adapted, look how well Haaland has adapted….

Most players are not thick, they want to go to the best teams with the best players…
