Jude Bellingham

Be shocked if he doesn't end up at Madrid.

Not particularly bothered; he seems a bit raw and explosive still, I think it'd be tricky to balance him with Foden and Haaland in the same team considering how much Pep loves to control the ball. That's three players without much of the precious "pausa". The only trouble is that I don't see who else can be a top-tier replacement for Bernardo if he goes. Rice/Kovacic are very different players and my personal favourite Frenkie De Jong seems set where he is.

unless the add ons are another €75-€100m euros, that laughably bad from Dortmund given his profile and market

Fair enough Tolm. I just can’t see him coming here. For some reason I’m already tired of the saga (if it can be called that) and would just prefer it’s announced sooner rather than later.

Hopefully given how Dortmund are ran (Haaland announced 10/05/2022 for example) and needing to announce it for shareholders it won’t drag on.

Not so much a slant against the player, the club or anything like that - just a bit bored by it all. I’m shallow enough for that to change if we hear noises to City, though!
Saga?

The Messi thread pats you on the head and tucks you in bed.

Hands are tied to a certain extent. If Jude has made it clear hes only going to Real, its tilted the power to them. Its still an incredible return on their investment and they will have several targets to buy with that cash that will no doubt earn them plenty in the future also. Perhaps even a few from us e.g. Mebude, Borges and so forth.

I'm very concerned about the mileage he already has on him at such a young age. Not too bothered if he joins another foreign team.

Actually surprised that the rags haven't been pushing hard for him. Him, Botox, and the rat would be a decent midfield tbf.

Thats the price id expect him to go for next year tbh.

Personally not too sure how a newspaper can write Bellingham will join Madrid next week when the two clubs haven't discussed a fee let alone agreed and the BVB director has already said there has been no offer

I don't believe either of them in all honesty. Transfers are all cloak and dagger, not a chance in the world Madrid haven't spoke to Dortmund.

Did we ever rule us in the race? If we didn’t why would we then rule us out of it?
We have a trebble to win, we had to get back in the title race, beat Bayern & then Real

We then have our own stars to sort out, no chance in the world we announce anything about Bellingham, Gvardiol or whoever when the squad had to pull together

City do things differently from before, so far the club, manager & players have got it bang on

Whoever comes & goes we will know from Monday 12th June onwards & not before

If Foden wasn't ours, let's say he played for Southampton. If it was a choice between Bellingham and Foden in Midfield for 100m, I know who I would go for.
Although the Brummie is a top player and has a very high ceiling, I would still go for Phil as he has proven record in the league.
Phil in midfield, right now, is better than Jude. But Phil can also play in multiple positions and excel in them.
So, in conclusion, let's appreciate the players we have already got, if, and it's a big If, Jude goes to Madrid.

For those who actually feel Fabrizio is a serious journalist, you honestly believe Dortmund are selling Bellingham for €100mil + add ons??

Enzo went for €120
Anthony €100
Nunez €100

To think that Dortmund would accept anything less than €130 guaranteed in todays market is laughable.

That €100 seems so low that it reeks of “We had an agreement and then Big Bad City came in with their money to outbid us.” Not saying that will happen or is the case here, but it’s a step Madrid 100% will take if they feel they lost out on a player.
