sorry for the new thread but i just to get this off my chest.
100% spot on. Brilliant post.nlondoncityfan said:I have been very vociferously anti-Bellamy throughout, and didn't want him to join City/couldn't understand why MH was in for him.
But if it's true that he's definitely coming to us, all that is by the wayside - once he is in blue, he is blue, and once a blue always a blue as far as I am concerned. No matter what my opinions of him are, I will give my all to cheer him on and support him. We've had controversial characters before (Andy Morrison anyone, and we all know how instrumental he was to starting the process of our recovery in our darkest times), and we've had overrated players before, but we've always stuck with them because we are city, and that's one of the things that makes us different.
So, until I hear that Bellamy isn't our player, I'll keep hoping that we don't get him, and I'll carry on being vociferously anti-Bellamy, but when he does sign (and it looks a done deal from what the posts are saying), it ends there, and just support. Hypocritical maybe, but part of being in a team or supporting a team is knowing when to draw the line under your personal prejudices for the good of the collective effort.

he's one of those players who you love if he's in your team,
yet loathe if he's not.
bellamy is a paul dickov, but 20 times as good in my book.
