I watch a lot of Bundesliga and think Dahoud is a better player. He's got a greater all around game and is more technically capable. Weigl is a smart player but I'd be wary of signing midfield players from Dortmund purely because they have a fairly unique system and some players have trouble replicating their Dortmund form elsewhere. Not a knock on him because he could break the mould but so far Sahin, Kagawa, Gotze and Gungodan (although early days) have moved on after looking sensational only to drop a level or so.Just speculation in the media.
I suspect the lad at Monchengladbach, Dahoud, will be the target.
He has his fans also, although I've seen nothing from him against us to suggest he's in the same class at Weigl.
I feel the same way about him as I did when I saw Stones, and that hasn't turned out too badly, has it?
Another Rolls Royce with German efficiency.
Dahoud is the type of midfielder who can break the lines with his passing wheras Weigl is a more simple passer, although a little better defensively. I just don't think we need another safe passer in midfield if we are playing with Gundogan. I think a midfield of Gundogan and Weigl lacks penetration and forward passing so for that reason I think Dahoud is a better fit...and more easily attainable.
