Just been studying the league table...

Have to wait and see... I know everyone was saying they would win today earlier...

They are awful and there are clearly issues behind the scenes. Witness Gerrard's reaction to Torres substition in the other thread.

How people can think there is any chance of them winning their last five games is beyond me.

Because of who they're playing. Other than Chelski, who have they got to play?

I'm not writing Villa, Liverpool or Spurs off yet.

I think we all know a win against Birmingham will go a long way to helping us secure 3 points this Sunday.

I like Bobby's attitude of taking each game at a time

Come on City

Perhaps even all the way?

One game at a time .......

we MUST beat Birmingham now to keep the maximum pressure on the others ....

right now that's ALL that matters!

This is true.

Brum is now our most important game of the season. We win, we get 3 points then fine, we can look to the next game.

We now know that our destiny is in our own hands. If we match or better Spurs, Liverpool, we finish forth. Brilliant!

As well as all the skill we have, we are going to find out how strong we are mentally against Brum. The pressures on us now, we need leaders all over the pitch.

Also, does anyone else get the feeling that it'll come down to the last day, with us only needing to get the three points to secure 4th spot, and we'll manage to royally f**k it up?

I can see Zola coming on in the 94th minute as a player/manager, robbing Toure, and lobbing Given, despite Walton missing three blatant fouls and a handball in the buildup.

Might be tempting fate but I'm seriously thinking of having a bet on us going the remainder of the season unbeaten.
I'm thinking in terms of 4 wins and a draw each with the rags and Arsenal.

We'll do the double over Arsenal, It's written!

Why not we`ve done it over Chelsea, and have only lost 1 to the big 4, which we shouldn`t have.

But there again we are city, the only team not to beat Burnley at home and only picked up 1 point against Hull..................

lol

go a long way! It will guarantee 3 points mate unless the FA change the rules before then.

Ha ha - Let them try and make it 2 points a win

Chelsea 33 51
United 33 49
Arsenal 33 49
City 32 43
Villa 32 40
Tottenham 32 39
Liverpool 33 39

A spuds-villa cup final and pool in Europa final would help, league form of cup final teams usually collapses pretty quick at the sign of every 50-50 challenge.
