Funny how the Outers on here take every thing printed, said and speculated about as nailed on if it denegrates Hughes.
As soon as it is something they would consider suicide seeing in print this is the response.
This has as much voracity as most of the threads started over the last two days.
It might not be true, but this is what I have been told.
So I have shared it.

Someone told me that you're a wum. It might not be true, but this is what I've been told.

That's a bit harsh mate.

Why would Blue Dove just make something up, eh? He obviously has very close contacts with the Mubarak family and he's just dived on here to give us an update, before heading off for tonight's camel racing.

I believe what he says. Honest Injun.

They won't be renewing his contract yet but they won't be sacking him any time soon. Yesterday he got his tactics wrong, we lost the game and everyone over-reacted and kicked off. We are a good defensive unit away from being right up there. We have one of the best attacking forces in the league. The season isn't over we haven't failed yet so there's no need for the board to panic. Yes we've drawn games we should have won but that's not disaster time. At least we haven't been losing. Look at the "games played column" it says 16, not 38. The season is not over.

Wish people would back the manager and get behind him. He's trying his best, he desperately wants this club to succeed. We'll come good and the team will gel with time. We're only about 16 months into the process of building a team since the takeover. It won't happen overnight.
Much as I admire what you say, he took over a team that finished 9th.....
And Redknapp took over a team 2nd bottom.

Listen mate, your opinion of him last night on the matchday thread were not quite as rosy i seem to remember?

I remember you clearly stating it wasnt good enough, asking what his excuses would be and even going as far as saying he had to go!

Make your mind up.

been given £100 million to spend in January and they are looking to extend his contract to put the speculation to bed.

Thanks for sharing, Blue Dove. Frankly I'm indifferent to the whole Hughes in/out debacle but one thing is for sure we've lacked managerial stability for years. Now we find ourselves with an owner that seems to have afforded us exactly that.

I'm not panicking just yet!

PS. If Hughes does go can we have Sven back please!

Well if thats the only qualification required to be manager of Manchester City Football Club, the owners can expect 48,000 applications for the post if & when it does become available, cos we could all do that! It doesn't mean any of us would actually be qualified though does it, and if Hughes continues to prove himself incapable, trying his best aint gonna save his skin I'm afraid!

Last night wasn't good enough for the money we've spent and while the game was going on I couldn't believe how bad we looked. I asked what his excuses would be because he seems to give them all the time. I don't think I said he had to go at the time, possibly if we don't win the next 3. I was probably saying stupid stuff last night like everyone else, I wasn't happy with the result.

I just think whatever everyone thinks of him, he's our manager right now and we need to back him and the team. When you take a breather, look at the table and put last nights game into perspective, it isn't all that bad. I think everyone was very angry last night due to the way that we lost and the scoreline. I remember a similar thing last season when we lost 3-1 to Fulham at home. I felt like the world was about to end and that we were terrible but we came back and finished the season well.

Win our next 3 and we're right back up there, beat Boro in the cup and then have a real good go and United at home. If we do all that then the mood around here will be completely different. All we need is consistency and I believe Hughes can bring it.

so with £100 million and 75 quid after we've sold 'Robini-who', plus another £10 quid if we sell Sylvinio to Crawley town, even his lack of pace won't show there, we'll be set for another round of which overpriced 'could be, should do and then won't' stars we can find to give the press something else to laugh about!
