Just been told Hughes has........

so with £100 million and 75 quid after we've sold 'Robini-who', plus another £10 quid if we sell Sylvinio to Crawley town, even his lack of pace won't show there, we'll be set for another round of which overpriced 'could be, should do and then won't' stars we can find to give the press something else to laugh about!

I believe the phrase is 'proven premiership quality', don't you know. that or 'top four rejects', depending on how you feel.

why wouldn't they tell us, shout it from the mountain tops, if it was true? "MH will be our manager until the end of the season and will be given funds". they could at least let it be known through the usual channels. So I'll expect to read this in every paper that printed the 'must turn around results before christmas or new manager in for transfer window story' over the last month. to save you checking, I think it was all of them.

he's been given targets and told his performance will be monitored throughout the season. it was implied pretty heavily at the beginning of the season. that's not to say they really will get rid of him even if he fails to meet them. the only ITK's to offer an opinion (the only ones with any sort of track record) have confirmed that. if that's changed, great. no reason not to tell people and end the bickering.

been given £100 million to spend in January and they are looking to extend his contract to put the speculation to bed.

So what happend to the club saying at the begging of the season we won't be going on anymore mad spending sprees ?.

i took it on more of a fact we wont be buying loads of players but they did not rule off the fact they wont be buying anymore and i suppose it depends on how much these players cost?

2-4 players off the quality we maybe after could by all means cost 100 million or not far off that amount!

For him to buy anyone else would be admitting failure and wasting money. It would also unsettle the players.Lets say he went for Philip Lahm.Bridge would be knocking on his door wondering where that leaves him and why did he buy him. He's had his money, bought his players and now it's up to him to coach them to the best of his ability.Scary.

Let's see what the next couple of home games bring, but I really can't see our owners being stupid enough to give him any more money never mind a new contract.

I can't see anyway back to be honest the small turn around in performance levels for the Chelski and Arseanal games was brief and it looks like it's back to the relegation form of the previous run of seven draws.

200-250 million and 18 months and behind Birmingham, hahah yeah that's good enough just give him time build his own team hahahah paitence dynasty hahahaha got to laugh or I'll cry.

there are no failures in buying better players than we have in comparison to some teams some of our positions are still weak!

Well if thats the only qualification required to be manager of Manchester City Football Club, the owners can expect 48,000 applications for the post if & when it does become available, cos we could all do that! It doesn't mean any of us would actually be qualified though does it, and if Hughes continues to prove himself incapable, trying his best aint gonna save his skin I'm afraid![/quote]

48,001 and the man in my chippy will apply as well.

I would encourage the owners to do just that in January. Back him (new contract) or sack him.

Anything else is ASKING for the rest of the season to turn into a repeat of what happened for the last six months of Sven's tenure...
