Just For Once, Can The Club Cut The Cheese On Sunday, Please

I don’t have a problem with hey Jude or blue moon being played. I actually think something like don’t look back in anger would work perfectly as a city anthem. It’s all the other cheesey songs after that, that don’t work.

we have turned off the pa before and it was complete silence.

Techincally City still won't be Champions before kick off. It could backfire?

Perhaps Agadoo by Black Lace or Oops Up Side Your Head by the Gap Band to break the tension before kick off? Everyone would love a good row togther on the concourses and on the terraces.

There shouldn't have been silence last time either but there was. There's nothing wrong with what city typically do, they provide the fans with every opportunity to get the atmosphere going. why would you want them to stop that in favour of some vision of an atmosphere we've failed to produce in the past when given the chance to.

If City play hey jude or bluemoon over the PA as usual, the crowd will sing it and there's your guaranteed great atmosphere for kick off. It's proven, it's good and it works, no reason to do anything different. There's 90 minutes without the PA system to follow it for the fans to sing without being lead.

It doesn't work. You've been to enough home games to know that. 1894 wave the flags in SSL1, everyone else stands or sits, either talking, in silence, or are still on the concourses drinking when the teams come out and are presented. All you hear are muffeled cheers when the players are announced over the tannoy. There's no actual singing before the game kicks off. Come off it! The only exceptions might be United and Liverpool?

It’s not just this game they need to change for though. They need to fuck that awful version of Bluemoon off permanently. No one can join in with it and it just makes us sound shit and means that by kick off it’s silent in there as there’s no momentum.

mom pleased people are pointing this out on this thread. The club early need to cut the fucking cheesey crap out.

The club should play a slow classic version of bluemoon and gradually reduce volume and the fans should sing the whole song.
