Just heard some sad news

I heard someone in Africa has just died somehow followed by someone in China and then Canada
My thoughts with every one of them at this time
Oh god now someone else

so sorry....about your loss... Will you be selling his fishing tackle?....

I can't believe i missed this thread as i sort of knew the person or persons who maybe died / got shot / put their back out. My thoughts obviously go to his or her family if he or she had one.
In times like this you have to wonder what in the hell the police were doing or weren't doing and why an innocent man or woman could be murdered or not murdered or inconvenienced in such a way as to be worthy or not worthy of this news or non news item.

I'm disgusted. Or not.

Sorry to hear about your sad loss JMA.

RIP person I never met, had nothing to do with and don't know how died.

A man in Swaziland has just died today. Don't know how, and never knew him, but R.I.P.

Now, I'm off on my merry way to discuss my favourite muffin or barmcake.

I just can't understand why we let this happen. Every time you pick up a newspaper or turn on the tv someone has died. We are meant to be an educated civilised country and yet nothing is done about it. We all need to stand side by side, back to back and show them what we think, tell them it isn't happening on my watch. Let's stop this now.

In fairness JMA has a point with this

A thread in General Football Forum for a supporter of a club that not many people like. A guy we never heard of, have known or will ever know gets an RIP thread. Unless your going to walk around saying RIP every second like some tourettes sufferer your eventually going to miss someone out

City fans offering their condolencies and sympathy to the families of people who have died. So what if we don't know them, what if they are fans of another club or not even posters on the Bluemoon forum?

If you don't agree with the RIP threads don't read them - it's pretty obvious what they're going to about. Is there really any need to take the piss out of threads offering sympathy to familes of people who have died.

I though JMA's post in the thread about the Spurs fan was in poor taste - this really is an all time low - mocking people who are simply offering a kind word. You might think that there's no place for threads about non City or famous people who have died, but surely you can keep that to yourself considering the sensitive subject. Slag off tthe Neville posts, the Dzeko threads and the smoking stories but the RIP ones?
