Is it the 1968/1969 fa cup tie at Blackburn ?

It looks like it and if that's the case it's one of the first uses of the red and black. Though Mike Summerbee is supposed to have worn 7 in that game!

That fa cup game was played at night after twice being postponed one the weather and another time coz Blackburn team had flu
Summer bee was No 7 I'm sure. And the pic looks like T.C he was No11
Not sure if it's city red stripe on shorts ??

Looks like TC but he always wore the 11 shirt for City,he went to Sheffield Wednesday after City and I would say that's him playing for them at Blackburn.

That's the opening game of the 73/74 season against Birmingham, Denis Law made his second debut for City and scored twice in a 3-1 win - that looks like Law in the background. Birmingham had just been promoted and loads of their fans turned up early and stood in the centre of the Kippax which didn't go down too well when the regulars arrived. I think that's a young Bob Latchford being challenged by Donachie.

The bottom pic where Rodney is getting his shirt ripped off is probably against Southampton or Sunderland, could be the FA Cup tie against Sunderland in 72/73 as the North Stand looks full?

Must admit I thought that was Trevor Francis in the above picture but I'll stand corrected.

My best mate, who happens to be a City fan from Lincoln, came on once as a sub for Lincoln City Reserves and the guy he replaced was Bob Latchford, trying to eke out one last payday. It's not a bad chat up line with ladies of a certain (middle) age.
