Just Newcastle between us....

Cisse looks a real danger, and I believe he's poked in 13 goals in 12 games for them, making him their fastest scoring player ever... and that's a monstrous record to have achieved for the Magpies.

having just seen those two he scored tonight, we're going to have to pay him very close attention on Sunday, and this result will help guard us against taking anything for granted.

it should be a good game, which I'd expect to have more goals than Monday's - especially as we'll likely get more room to go forward into.

(and irrespective of the Welsh Barcelona - who play after us, we've got to nail our chances and be absolutely clinical with our finishing for this game.. something we lost our way with a couple of months back)

Wigan was away though, Newcastle haven't lost at home since December to West Brom. Since then:

Newcastle 3-0 United
Newcastle 2-1 Blackburn
Newcastle 1-0 QPR
Newcastle 2-1 Villa
Newcastle 2-2 Wolves
Newcastle 1-1 Sunderland
Newcastle 1-0 Norwich

Newcastle 2-0 Liverpool
Newcastle 2-0 Bolton
Newcastle 3-0 Stoke

All of the bolded results don't impress me much. Don't get me wrong, I wish we were playing someone else... but this table isnt so impressive. although it is worrying that they seem to play better against the "big" teams..

They didn't play great against Bolton and were lucky in the end that Bolton didn't take their chances before Newcastle scored. Will be a difficult game, but I still believe that if we play as well as we can we will win because we're the better team.
When you look at who has scored there, you can't see a reason that we won't, Blackburn, Villa, Wolves, and Sunderland, and other than united there aren't many tough games, 1-0's against Norwich and QPR also suggest we can win.

I can't wait for Sunday now, its going to be a great day out, win draw or lose, this is what we all want to be part of, and they don't come bigger than this game, for both teams.

Swansea will suck it up on Sunday i just can#t see them getting any thing more so i think the rags would boost there GD with this and sunderland.

I hope and pray that they do some thing but seeing them lately they don't look half the team they did.

Look at QPR's away form!

At least with Newcastle beating Chelsea are players will know what they are up against and go full on. What a goal at the end by cisse

to make things more interesting spurs kick off half hour after us so the geordies will be listening to their radios

What happened to Cheick tiote? Is he all right? I saw him being carried away during the game, and commentators were saying he had a concussion..looks he won't be playing against us then.

We need to restrict both Cisse and Ba, bully them in the midfield to stifle their crosses, and Aguero must come back in form, take his chances..

Going to be a tough game..
