It still winds me up we didn't turn up against Sunderland at home until the last 15 minutes. We would be 2 points ahead now so a draw against the Toon would have been ok.Still i guess the rags could say the same about some of their games.

Exactly. It is why Mancini goes mad at the time,he knows it will come back and bite you in the arse.Still we are where we are and we now just have to do the business and prove we are worthy champions.

I've been waking up in the middle of the night just checking news articles on my iPhone. Thank god there is only a couple of weeks...

This game will be harder then United at home IMO, I have thought that for some time now. But we have world class players, that have played on the biggest stage, that are capable of going up there and getting the job done. I still fear a draw, and I think this game will be far more anxious than the United game. If we do get across the line, It may just be the best End of season review DVD ever.

If we can get to 25 mins 0-0 or better I think we will win this one. Defence need to soak up the initial pressure. Just hope they run out of steam as it will be there 3rd game in 7 days.

Come on city...

Cisse is quality. Can't give him any space.

Both teams should come out aggressive. Should be a good match.

Short rest for Toon could be an advantage.

as long as our players come out there with their feet on the ground, i reckon we can do it. COME ON CITY

Ever since the victory on Monday I've been thinking about Herb Brooks' speech to the 1980 USA Mens Hockey Team before the gold medal match against Finland. Many people think we beat the Soviets for the gold but that was just the semi-final match. What traspired in the locker room before the final match was this:

After that “miracle game”, they still had one more game to win before they could take home the gold. They had to beat Finland. Herb Brooks came into the locker room beforehand, and said, “If you lose this game, you will take it to your fucking grave.” Then he turned and walked almost all the way out, before turning around and saying again, “To your fucking grave.”

I'm not saying Bobby has to do this verbatim but something along these lines but something similar seems in order.

I'm excited about this match, though. Whatever the outcome, I'll still appreciate the roller-coaster ride that this season has been.

I think this match will be very combative like the derby. We'll see which team wants it more.
