Let them think they are superior, let them think they have the best striker, let them think about the 4-0 drubbing we will deliver them tomorrow. We are focused and have turned the pressure into a positive, we are so much a better team in all areas, the PL table doesnt lie.

Come On City............

Here is the thing though, the Wigan game was not typical of Newcastle. Newcastle went at Chelsea but at the same time maintained strong defensive discipline and Chelsea were unable to break them down. Newcastle have only conceded 1 goal at home in their last 5 games. It isn't as easy as "they'll come at us and we can get them on the counter"... they probably think the same. They are good at counter attacking too, Ben Arfa is rapid and they have smart, intelligent players with two mobile forwards. It's going to be a very tough game and every player of ours will need to play at 100%.

On top of being the best and most talented team, we're kinda in form if you haven't noticed.

Did I say we weren't in form? Some people are trying to convince themselves that Newcastle are going to naively throw 10 players at us, leaving Norwich sized gaps at the back. This isn't how they play, they may have been wank against Wigan but that is more of an isolated event, they are typically hard to score against, especially at home. They've conceded only 5 more goals than us at home this season and everyone knows how good we have been defensively at home.

This. However, I believe City operate very well under pressure. Both league derby games this season? Last year's cup run?

On the other hand, Newcastle are pretty desperate as well. They want a Champions' League spot this year. Badly.

I think we should just shackle Papiss and Ba, leave Cabaye to Yaya and pit Clichy against Ben Arfa and we should be fine defensively.

Great result for City at the Emirates.

Means win or bust for Newcastle and the pressure is on them too. No packed defence to break down. They are going to have to go for it
But why do people think a must win game results in a team playing with a wide-open defence? Monday night was a must win game for ourselves and our defence was hardly wide open considering the rags didn't have a shot! Newcastle's home defensive record is almost as good as ours at The Etihad.

This is what I've been saying. We're a well organised side, and Pardew is no fool. He simply won't go all-out and leave us exposed UNLESS it's the best tactical decision - which it won't be.

Everyone knows how good your attack force is. Attacking at 100mph is just asking for trouble, but so is sitting back and inviting pressure. I think this will be more of a case of micro management instead of any real primary tactic. We'll make sure our players know their roles in different areas of the pitch and try to control the game with high levels of intensity.

Anyway, of course you guys are the better side, but we're very fortunate to have the home advantage, and it does make a difference. It fires our players up to new heights whilst intimidating the opposition. No one can argue against the difference between the home and away forms of 90% of teams. It makes a difference and that's what we're holding onto.

Seriously chapaz our players have played in the argentinian leagues, in the camp nou, the bernabeu, in world cup finals, fa cup finals, champions league finals, do you genuinely think st james is that intimidating an atmosphere that it will make them crumble?

I don't think he just means SJP. Look at us all season. 17 home wins; 9 away wins with just 2 at top 13 clubs. Home advantage is HUGE!

Newcastle have had no pressure all season, tomorrow they will, we have had it all season and that reason alone we will show why we we deserve and will be champions.

Without a doubt it is huge but i dont think it will make our players crumble just remember some of our biggest wins have come away from home to.

as they say "football is a funny old game" and any result is possible, but lets hope the officials dont ruin what could be a historical game for both sides by making criminally bad decisions.

i think while newcastle have done extremely well on a limited budget this season, they arent barcelona or real madrid, having said that i dont think we`ll underestimate them but i do think we have a fantastic chance to win this game.

come on you blues
