Your ever humble servant, simonk
bought a meat and potato pie before the game on saturday. It was the size of a 10p piece, was that hot I thought I may need a skin graft to the roof of my mouth and seemed to contain what looked like a grey, tasteless liquid. Having said all this I do come from the home town of Chatwins, the best bakers the world has ever known, so maybe I am a little spoilt!!!!cyberblue said:When was the last time you went shopping ?.Meat & Potao Pie from Iceland £2 for four or 50p each .

We have 38,000 season ticket holders. If every one of them spent £3 on a programme, £3 on a pint and say £3 on a burger or pie. That's £9, or let's go crazy and get a kit kat, to bring it up to £10. Each match they would spend £380,000. That's season ticket holders alone. That's a lot of money.
Let's say the markup is 50% on products (e.g. a pie costs them £1.50 to buy off Hollands, but they sell it for £3) , so in fact, the profit is only a mere £190,000. That's a lot of money to make in a 4 hour period, and the staffing costs can't be that much based on the level of customer service people get.
The only trouble is that the customer service is so bad (a quick exchange of horror stories from Saturdays game easily enforces this claim), that all the season ticket holders don't buy things from the concession stands.
It has no direct connection with the price of Singha Beer, but I spent time working out the maths in the sauna, so I had to write it down somewhere so it didn't go to waste!!!
yes in the ground, think it was £2.60. I won't be having another!!BlueMoon93 said:bluedabber said:bought a meat and potato pie before the game on saturday. Was that in the ground? My dad got a steak one and it was burnt and looked proper small, well smaller than usual. It's put me off getting pies in the ground :( It was like £3.40 as well.
