This isn’t an anti-fascist protest. The people suffering from their actions are not fascists - just ordinary people trying to get on with their lives. Poke the bear long enough and it will turn round and fucking bite you. The protestors indeed have the rights you describe, but they should also face realistic consequences of their actions - and I don’t mean arrest, criminal record. If they choose to “protest” by effectively waging economic warfare against their fellow citizens then their punishment should proportionate. For example, if they shut an airport, they should face the recovery of the costs of their actions…a few million quid - that would put a dent in their trust funds. Is that all the protests?
they have every right to disrupt sporting events as long as they are willing to take the consequences (arrest, punishment, criminal record)
They are very close to the line regarding blocking roads due to disruption to fire and paramedic services.
As for giving them a kicking, you are more than welcome to do it as long as you are also willing to accept the consequences of your actions (arrest, punishment, criminal record)
lots of people seem to have forgotten that part of living in a free society is protest and part of protest is civil disobedience. I have taken part in civil disobedience and worse in the past as part of anti fascist demonstrations. I was always aware of the consequences of my actions and willing to bare those consequences.
Just so you are aware some of my actions I regret and some I am very proud of.
Surely your not going to dumb your argument down to "but the protestors possibly traveller to the location by car"?
I'd rather they spray a Govt office than stand and watch my house burn as a result of a wildfireYou’re great at avoiding questions, I’ll give you that.
We have a scientist in the house:-)No view on the protests but do you seriously think the future of this planet will be affected by anything as puny as stopping using fossil fuels? The planet has been as hot as 3,500°F and as cold as -130°F, all without human intervention. It'll add two days tops to an incoherent, no resus patient sitting in its own shit and wailing in agony.
smile all you want... asked a legitimate question - got fuck-all back, so farWe have a scientist in the house:-)
but they should also face realistic consequences of their actions -
Read my post. It’s not difficult. Then try again.Being sucker punched and booted in the head isn't a "realistic consequence" for what is an extremely peaceful protest. If you do think it is, then you should re-evaluate your life.
