The really disgusting thing is £1.7m is fuck all to Bet Fred, and they could use stories of big wins to gain them far more in additional business than the poxy £1.7m they were trying to worm out of. I mean how much do these organisations spend on advertising, FFS? If people thought Bet Fred were honest and always paid out (as opposed to the other thieves and charlatans) then I am sure they'd pick up lots of new clients.
As it stands, they are £1.7m down with a "Don't touch this lot with a barge pole" banner crayoned across the website.
Fuckwit behaviour from them and they got what they deserve. In fact they got off lightly, IMO.

Spot on. I've been following this case and while obviously not knowing the ins and outs of the particular game he was playing, it always smacked from the off of Betfred trying to dishonestly wriggle out of paying out.The judge should IMO have awarded punitive damages against Bet Fred for trying it on. I mean seriously, how many people with lesser wins are bullied and too frightened to take it all the way through the courts for fear of a huge legal bill if they lose? Fair play (and big Kahunas) to this bloke for pursuing it all the way. I'd have awarded him double the £1.7m if I was the judge.
I do a lot of matched betting which bookies absolutely hate as much of what I and others do basically guarantees a profit (I've made somewhere between £15,000 and £20,000 since starting in 2018), but it's not illegal in any way and there are loads of stories on matched betting forums of bookies refusing to pay out winnings on bets. One could argue that matched bettors aren't regular punters and it serves us right for taking value from the bookies but often these refusals to pay out involve a raft of mug punters as well as matched bettors. Bookies do have a right to exclude anyone from the special offers that allow us to make most of our money from matched betting - commonly known as getting "gubbed" - and that's something we accept as a consequence of what we do, but to withhold money from winning bets (whether one is matched betting or mug punting) is a different level of shithousery altogether.
Anyway, after getting "gubbed" from sports offers by Betfred a few months back, I found I was still able to do offers in their casino section and in December I made over £400 profit from the bald headed twat doing 2 of his poxy casino offers!

I was just wondering what sort of 'Glitch' there could be with online Blackjack, I wouldn't fancy playing Blackjack, Poker or any card game for money online.
With, and against other visible players may be OK, but who or what are you playing against? I assume it's their banker, maybe someone who participates can elucidate.

I think the whole industry is bent as a 9-bob note mate. Who knows whether these games are paying out the percentages they are supposed to? It wasn't online blackjack though it was a slot casino game wasn't it, and the software provider said it had glitches and was giving out bonus rounds when it shouldn't.
Online blackjack as a return to player of like 99.9% if you follow the correct strat it's one of the safer things to gamble on really.
